Almost Done!

Next week I'll be 12w and I'm so happy. These last couple of months have been so nerve recking beginning with my 2ww up until now. I've been careful at every little single thing I do. I sit slowly, I get up slowly, I walk slower I even turn slowly in my sleep and I don't lift anything less than 2 lbs heavy. I know I'm over doing it, but you can never be too safe. Now that I'm approaching the end of my 1st tri I'm so relieved.
Next week we get to hear the heartbeat for the first time, I can't wait!!

Meet The Peanut.

This is the new addition to our family. I made an appt to see a dr yesterday and I got lucky. I just couldn't wait until Monday and besides the N.P has been out for over a week and I didn't want another cancellation. I saw a sweet and great dr yesterday who did everything that she was suppose to do. At the end she did an u/s and we got to see our baby's heartbeat beat away. It was freakin' amazing!! Hubby was so stoked and so excited that he didn't stop smiling until he fell asleep last night.
According to my u/s and LMP the baby measured yesterday at 8w5d. This is not definite, but for now I'm a week ahead.

Other news, I was told that my 3 hour glucose tolerance test came up normal, NORMAL...wtf!?!?! I was so upset to find out that I went through torture for nothing. She told me to stop poking myself. My sugar levels are where they're suppose to be. What a relief. Because of this diet I was on I was feeling so hungry and nauseous. I just couldn't stand the feeling I was going through. I haven't gained any weight because of this. Now, although I still need to be careful, I could eat a well balanced meal without too much restriction.

Double Argh!!

I just lost my entry for today, so really quick, no dr appt today. Friday they cancelled on us so we go in next Monday. I'm home sick today and I feel really crappy. I'm also hungry.
I have no more energy to re-do my entry. It got deleted right when I hit publish post.
Oh well I hope I feel better tomorrow.

Is It Monday Yet?

I can't wait. Monday is our big u/s and we're excited. I get to meet my midwife and see our little baby. After our u/s we will be telling our family and friends. Everyone is questioning us and we keep changing the subject. Oh what a relief it will be!

Today is my son's 15th birthday. We woke him up by saying happy birthday and that made his morning. I can't believe how fast he has grown. For his celebration we are doing him a paintball party this Sat. We have a big group playing so it should be fun for him. I'll be in the sideline cheering him on.

My Baby Sweet Pea

Baby Cee is the size of a sweet pea right now. This is what's going on with baby right now.

Growing like crazy, baby is starting to sprout eyes, ears, nose, cheeks and chin. Those little hands and feet- still webbed like paddles- might wiggle by week's end, the heart is beating (almost twice as fast as yours!) and blood is starting to circulate.
