Daily Routine

A week and 2 days later and things couldn't be better. I can't believe that my little boy has been born for a little over a week now. He's so much fun especially when he's awake. I love every little thing about him. He has adjusted very well in these last few days. He sleeps good and nurses even better. We begin our daily routine at 7:30  a.m. when I have to take the kids to school now that hubby returned to work. Since Luciano's last feeding is usually around 4-5 a.m. he stays asleep until we get back around 8:30 a.m. Then after getting home it's diaper & feeding time. After he's finished we stare at each other for about a half an hour. Then about almost 10:00 he falls asleep for about 3 hours. When he wakes up we play for about 10-15 mins before feeding and then another diaper change. After that he stays up for about an hour and before going back to sleep there's another diaper change. I usually fall asleep at that time for about another 3 hours to catch up. Before we pick up the kids from school we do a quick feeding and another diaper change. One thing that Luciano does a lot is shart. Sometimes after I change his diaper he sharts and I have do another diaper change.
Anyways, after getting home we finish up on feeding and he'll stay up and Elise will play with him for a little bit. He'll go back to sleep until after dinner and we'll do 2 more feeding before the end of the night is over. During the middle of the night he'll have 1 feeding and that's usually around 4-5 a.m. So I have no complaints about little one he's doing great!

This picture was taken last Sat. and it's my favorite.

He's Finally Here!!!

LC is finally here. He was born 5/20/2009 @ 11:33 p.m. weighing in at 6 lbs .06 oz & 19 inches long. Labor was fairly easy up until the last hour where I gave into the epi 20 mins before he was born. We were sent home twice and I wasn't admitted until my water had finally broke at 9:50 p.m. I will post a more detail story when I regain some energy back. Overall, little man is doing great and breastfeeding is going great. The last 24 hrs we've been doing good on sleeping and feeding...woohoo!

Enjoy my little rockstar!!

40w4d and Finally Some Progress

Well, since early Sun morning I've been having some contractions, but not strong enough nor close enough to go to L&D. As of yesterday my back has been killing me and my contractions have gotten closer. Before midnight they have been every 15-20 mins apart. Since 1:27 am they were every 15 mins apart on the dot. It's now 3:41 am and my last 4 contractions have been 10 mins apart. So, I do believe it's time to have this baby!!

Thinking back to the beginning I can't believe have blessed we were to get pregnant. It's been a long journey and I do wished that I had started this blog way back when I learned that I had PCOS and struggling.
Back in Aug. before we found out about our BFP we had something terrible happen to us. We were robbed. It was such an awful feeling to have someone take everything so important from you. That night hubby and I were talking and one thing he said to me was, if we can have a child then the things that were taken won't matter to him. Something good needs to come out of something bad, and it did! A week later I got my BFP and sure enough the things that once mattered are no longer in his mind.

Anyways, as of 3:10 am my contractions have been 8-10 mins apart. I was told to go to L&D when they're 10 mins apart for an hour and I think it's time. I'm going to get some last min things together and take a quick shower. I don't want to go in stinking :). I will keep you posted. Wish us luck!

I leave you with my last belly pic. It's kind of dark and my photo booth won't catch a bighter pic unless I turn on all the lights.

Come Out, Come Out Baby Cee

First, here are a few pictures of us from our maternity session taken last month. We finally got to see them and they all came out so adorable and funny. Our niece has taken up photography and she takes really good pictures. We really loved all of them. She's such an amazing person that all she wants to do is take pictures of baby Cee when he's born. We had so much fun doing this. We had mostly his entire family watching the session. It did make it a lot easier for us to be more ourselves.

So as of now we're just waiting for baby Cee to born. I went in for my 39 wk this morning and my NMV told me I show no progress. I was disappointed to hear that because I swear I feel my cervix expanding. So with that bad news came with some really bad pains from her trying to reach my cervix. I have a very high cervix and she just couldn't reach the darn thing. I literally had tears coming out! She even started to flick on my cervix like it was nothing...OUCH! She did mention that she doesn't think that baby Cee will be coming out before due date. I have another NST next Wednesday so we will see what happens. I'm really hoping that I will go into labor on my own because I really don't want to be induced.

One more for fun, this is cousin Ruggerio, he's so much fun.

38w5d appt

Today I went in to for my regular scheduled appt., but when I got there I found out that my MW had canceled all of her appts. I got rescheduled with a MD whom I've seen before when I was having TTC issues. Well, she did an u/s and did some measurements and found out that baby Cee is barely a little over 5 lbs. She wasn't too concern, but she does want me to come back tomorrow for a NST for more measurements. Other than that baby Cee looks good, still head down.
I know everything will be o.k. I just have to have faith in God that he will continue to look over him. My son was 6 lbs at 41w. so even if baby Cee barely reaches 6 lbs I'll be happy.

I also had my hospital tour today. It's a brand new hospital which open last month. The birthing rooms are large and so are the postpartum rooms, which is nice. The one thing that I didn't like was that I would need to go to triage before L&D. There they will monitor me for awhile before admitting me. I'm used to going into L&D and I was set to go.
They also told me since this is my 3rd pregnancy I would need to wait unitl my contractions are 10 mins apart before coming in. Glad to know this otherwise I probably would wait until they're 2-5 mins about before making my trip to the hospital. Sheesh by waiting 2-5 mins I'll probably make head line news...lady gives birth to a baby boy on Sunset Blvd. Imagine that?

Baby Shower

I had my baby shower on Sunday. It was so fun to be with all the ladies in our family. The only ones that didn't show up was a few of my good friends. They were part of the bridal party and I was really was hoping that they would make it, but oh well that's another story I guess.

There was a lot of eating, drinking and some fun games played. I enjoyed every minute of it. My 2 sister in laws put the whole thing together.  It was held at one of my SIL's house. They're simple gals so the set up was simple. The party lasted serveral hours so I was pretty tired at the end of the night. We received a lot of nice stuff. We did get all the big stuff we really needed. Baby Cee has clothes up to a year, so we're set for now.

Yesterday I separated all the clothes that baby Cee will be using and washed them. I also put all the big stuff that he will be using on one side of the room and the rest will go into storage. When he's ready for them we will start bring them out. So now all I need is for him to be born.

Officially On Maternity Leave.

It feels good to not worry about going into work and dealing with the stress. These last few days I've been over stressed. I had to do a lot of follow ups and I needed to close some files. I barely had time to scratch my ass. Last week work gave me a surprised baby shower and it was so much fun. I got a lot of cute boy stuff. The minute I got home I took the tags off and washed them all. Hubby put up the bassinet and we set up all of the necessities that baby Cee is going to be using. I'm getting excited!!!

Well anyways I leave you with a belly shot. This was taken last weekend at 37w1d. I was getting ready for bed.
